FlightCapture is an iOS app for extracting flight, crew, and timing data from screenshots and preparing reviewed exports.

Useful details to include

• Your iPhone or iPad model.
• Your iOS version.
• The FlightCapture app version.
• Whether the issue involves screenshot import, OCR, crew extraction, roster import, share extension, purchases, or export.
• Only send redacted screenshots if they are necessary. Remove names, staff numbers, flight-sensitive details, and company-confidential information first.

LogTen custom role mapping

If crew exports are landing in the wrong LogTen role, check Settings > LogTen Integration > Crew Role Mapping before reporting OCR as the cause.

• LogTen API keys are fixed. A custom name in LogTen, such as ISM, does not become the API key.
• If your ISM role is backed by LogTen Custom 1, choose Custom 1 in FlightCapture so the export uses flight_selectedCrewCustom1.
• For examiners, check TC, STC and BTC mappings. The defaults are Instructor, Observer and Observer 2, but your LogTen setup may use different slots.
• If you use default LogTen roles only, leave PIC, SIC, Relief and Relief 2 on their default mappings.

Crew name format

If crew names are exporting in the wrong naming style, check More > LogTen Integration > Crew Names.

• Given Surname exports names like Kevin Smith.
• Surname Given exports names like Smith Kevin.
• Roster Format uses the bracketed crew-list name, including initials where present, for example SMITH KJ.
• Cockpit and cabin crew can use different name formats.
• If the bracketed roster name has no initials, FlightCapture keeps the bracketed value instead of guessing a full name, for example PUENGPITIPORNCH.
• Manual name edits still take priority over the captured roster-format value.

Screenshot import order

FlightCapture imports one screenshot at a time. Add the Air Ready crew list first, then add the Flight Folder dashboard after landing when the OTP times are final.

LogTen requirement

FlightCapture needs LogTen Pro installed on the same device. It exports through LogTen's URL API, so onboarding and export cannot complete if iOS cannot open LogTen.
