Help with your personal roster view, sharing with family and friends, and keeping your calendars up to date.

Set up CXRoster on your iPhone

The app shows Flight Crew · Crew Link Mobile; no crew-type selection is needed. Select your purpose. Both is the default; Only for Myself and Only to share are also available.

Allow full calendar access when iOS asks. For Calendar for Myself and Calendar for Sharing, choose Create new or Choose existing. On the next screen, name new calendars or select existing ones. Onboarding offers writable iCloud calendars only; new calendars are created there automatically.

The final Your setup screen summarises your choices. Use Edit to backtrack or Finish setup to open the app. It does not start an import. The separate guide is available from How to import and Settings → How to import. Follow the six-screen setup guide.

Why can’t I find a calendar?

Onboarding lists writable iCloud calendars. Turn on iCloud Calendars in iPhone Settings and allow CXRoster full calendar access. Read-only calendars cannot be used as destinations. Existing calendars keep their names.

Importing your roster

This release supports compatible Cathay Pacific Flight Crew exports from Crew Link Mobile.

Cathay Calendar is recommended in supporting beta builds. Choose Export Roster to Calendar in Crew Link Mobile, then return to CXRoster and tap +. Select the detected month, check your destination calendars and tap Import Roster. The + button opens this route directly.

For Flight Crew, ICS File remains a supported alternative. In Crew Link Mobile, open More Actions (•••), choose Export Roster as .ics File, select the month and open the file with CXRoster. You do not need to save it or use a file picker.

CXRoster remembers your destinations. For Flight Crew, Delete original Cathay calendar defaults on for deletable sources; switch it off to keep the original. Deletion requires a verified destination import, no parser warnings and an unchanged source. Otherwise the original is retained and the result explains why. Synced deletion applies to your other devices. Both routes use the same roster decoding pipeline.

If no Cathay roster appears, export the month to Apple Calendar, allow CXRoster full Calendar access and wait for any iCloud sync, then tap Check Again. Source calendars must use the English title Roster for Month Year and contain roster entries with duty notes. Keep your destination calendars separate from the source. See the step-by-step import guide. This release supports compatible Flight Crew exports from Crew Link Mobile. Crew Connect cabin rosters are not supported.

Updating your roster

Make changes in your roster source, not these calendar events. Reimporting a roster replaces the previously imported entries for that month. Changes made directly in Calendar may be overwritten.

Keep personal reminders in a separate calendar. Reimporting clears alerts from imported events, including days off.

Import warnings and recovery

Read the completion result and check your duties against the official roster. Partial or unreadable entries stop the import; other decoding warnings keep the original source calendar. Do not assume an unknown duty was decoded correctly.

For a destination or access error, use the import screen to correct it and retry. If the app pauses imports after an interrupted import, keep the roster file and app data and contact support. Do not delete the app or calendars to bypass recovery.

Clear shared-calendar change messages with OK All

Importing or updating a roster in a shared iCloud calendar can generate many change messages for people sharing that calendar. You can acknowledge them together instead of selecting OK for each event.

• Mac: Open Calendar and its notification list. Hold the Option key to change OK to OK All, then click OK All.
• iPhone or iPad: Open Calendar, tap Inbox, then press and hold OK on a change message. Select OK All to acknowledge all the change messages together.

This clears the messages; it does not delete your calendar events or stop future change messages. These are shared-calendar updates, separate from event reminders.

For Flighty Calendar Sync, select your CXRoster Sharing Calendar, which supplies the existing UTC time context. Check matched flights and dates. Flighty is a separate app; see Flighty’s calendar import guide.
